  • SEDA Financial is an Association branded finance program which provides a complete package for retail and wholesale financing for a wide range of products, including agriculture, outdoor power, industrial, turf and irrigation equipment, as well as dealer fixed assets such as land and buildings.  The program provides a competitive alternative to the dealers' captive retail finance source, and helps dealers create and close more sales with competitive finance products and terms.  SEDA Financial is non-recourse and no reserve is required.  Other benefits are swift application and approval processes, the ability to earn incremental income with add-on fees, and the ability to provide one-stop financial shopping for dealership's customers.
  • Equipment Physical Damage Insurance provides coverage for equipment that is subject to a loan or lease. This program protects the lien holder and the customer while generating a profit for the dealer member. Also available with this program is Credit Life and Disability Insurance - all marketed by Equipment Insurance International and underwritten by companies rated A+ by A.M. Best Company.
  • Legal Counsel is retained and available to dealer members.  The affiliate Associations and NAEDA have an agreement with the law firm Seigfried, Bingham, Levy, Selzer and Gee of Kansas City, Missouri to provide limited free counsel.  The firm's team of attorney has provided assistance to dealers for more than 20 years.  The Southern Association also maintains additional contact with various legal authorities in specific fields.
  • Bankcard Program benefits include (1) low, all inclusive discount rate and no other fees, (2) customer utilization of any Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card, (3) fast, accurate electronic processing and gives you your money on the 2nd bank business day, (4) 24 hour toll-free support, (5) reduction of the dealership's account receivables, and (7) debit and check verification.
  • Dealer-Manufacturer Relations - The Association, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers maintain an excellent rapport and can usually resolve any adverse situation that may arise.  However, in the event there is a dispute between a dealer and manufacturer, distributor or supplier, the Southern Association maintains an Industry Relations Committee to assess the situation.  In case of a problem of class action proportion, the matter may be referred to the NAEDA Industry Relations Committee and Board for appropriate action.
  • Business Forms and Supplies provide a wide variety of complete record keeping forms designed for dealers at prices usually below a local supplier.  Computer forms are available for ALL MAKES of computer equipment.  Special use items (i.e. rental agreements, work orders, time tickets, inventory tags, appraisal forms, etc.) are also available.  The Association provides a variety of custom-tailored supplies.
  • Propery/Casualty group insurance is marketed and sold to dealers by Federated Mutual Insurance Company as endorsed by Southern.  Federated serves more than 300 trade associations.  Federated's expertise in the equipment industry plus a field staff of over fifty in our region makes them highly qualified to serve our needs.
  • Regional Salary and Benefit Surveys are conducted among Southern members.  This information is compiled in detail, but is easy to read and use for comparison to your own operation.
  • Cost of Doing Business Surveys are conducted by direct mailings of questionnaires to dealer members throughout the United States and Canada.  It is the recognized official source of comprehensive industry-wide data reflecting the operating profile of the equipment industry.
  • AgCareers offers an online career and human resources service that provides SEDA members with unlimited real-time job postings and continuous access to the AgCareers.com resume database.  For a minimal fee, dealerships may list job openings to the database to fill vacancy or upgrade the skills in an occupied position.  AgCareers.com is one the nation's leading online programs, and will assist dealers in finding the best, most qualified applicants.
  • Equipment Trade-In Guides - IRON Solutions, Inc. provides equipment value guides in various formats including paper, real-time guides on the internet, and Appraisal Manager, the electronic format.  Outdoor Power Guides are also available through your Association.  Since 1937, the Association has provided and continuously improved trade-in guides to meet the industry's needs.  Dealers, sales people, manufacturers, lending institutions, appraisers and tax assessors look to the Association to provide a source of information including price, auction sales values, horsepower/size class, model number, etc.
  • Health, Life and Dental Insurance programs offer participants maximum coverage at the lowest possible group rates and provide both a comprehensive plan and a PPO plan with options available within each.
  • PartnerShip is a freight program made up of two dynamic services to help dealer members  reduce shipping expenses.  Parcel freight uses the services of FedEx to provide outstanding discounts on FedEx ground and air parcel shipments.  Motor Freight uses the services of Yellow Freight to provide outstanding discounts on heavy freight shipments.  The Freight program provides a shipping preference form for dealers that can be downloaded and sent to suppliers to designate your shipping preferences.
  • Area Meetings are scheduled annually throughout the region to enable attendees to travel short distances for up to the minute information needed to comply with government rules and regulations, ways and means to improve business and customer service, and information about benefits available to dealer members.
  • Conferences and Conventions provide members with an opportunity to exchange ideas, make social contacts, listen to motivational programs, management seminars and speakers, have manufacturer/supplier contacts, and many other benefits.  Southern's Covention is usually held in January or February and a Summer Conference is held in July.
  • Convention Program / Yearbook contains convention information and serves as a reference book.  It includes a complete list of dealer members, addresses, major lines, telephone numbers, email addresses,, etc. as well as names of associate members, advertisers, and other association and industry supporters.
  • Dealers Choice is Southern's official bi-monthly publication.  This professionaly printed paper provides the member with useful news and information.
  • Equipment Dealer magazine is the industry's merchendising and management magazine published by NAEDA each month.  It is a "how to do it" magazine that keeps dealers abreast of latest developments in the industry and shows how successful dealers are handing problems.
  • Identity Theft & ADRS Program assists dealers in becoming compliant with federally mandated laws relating to identity theft.  The program provides training for dealership employees in how to handle sensitive non-public information and offers a benefit package for employees and their families to protect and restore their identities if theft occurs.  Legal assistance is also available to the dealership, should a breach of security occur.
  • Legislation (AL, FL, GA) is monitored by Southern's staff.  Federal legislation is monitored by NAEDA's Legislative Director.  The Association also subscribes to various legislative services that provide outlines of proposed legislation.  Legislation affecting dealership operations may be evaluated and when necessary, appropriate action is taken.  The dealer's voice is multiplied many times when all members join together on common issues affecting the industry.
  • NAEDA OPE Dealer Council is the governing body of NAEDA Outdoor Power Equipment activities.  The Council's mission statement is "To create a forum that will allow the OPE dealer members to have direct input to the NAEDA Board of Directors for the purpose of communicating the member service needs of those dealers."
  • 20 Groups are established in cooperation with NAEDA, the affiliate Associations and participating dealers.  Individual groups of 20 dealers are formed, usually with dealers of the same franchise but located in different sections of the U.S. and Canada.  The program's goals offer the dealer a forum for professional and peer analysis, discussion and review of financial, marketing, personal and general dealership operating data.
  • PowerPro is an accredidation program for OPE dealers to brand their dealerships for consumer and industry recognition.  Universal standards are used to show consumers that a dealer has met minimum qualifications for performance and service.
  • Toolchex offers a reimbursement program for technicians who are required to purchase tools or equipment as a condition of employment.  Technicians who choose to participate in this program will be able to get reimbursed for tools, equipment and other business expenses.  According to Toolchex, a typical technician enrolled in the Toolchex program will increase net take home pay and the dealer pricipal will realize a substantial savings in payroll taxes.
  •  Workers Compensation laws are different in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.  Therefore, Southern may endorse different agents and underwriters for each state.
  • Storehouse of Information is as near as your telephone, fax, mailbox or email.  Your Association office can furnish you with answers to specific questions available from no other source, which can help you in your day to day and long range operations.
